FIREkit is your personal investment tracking system. You create assets to represent what you own, like stocks, ETFs, crypto, real estate, or even cash. For each asset, you record transactions, such as purchases, sales, deposits, withdrawals, transfers, profits, and losses.
These transactions form a one-way transaction chain, which FIREkit uses to calculate your real returns, income, asset value, and performance over time.
You can group assets however you want (e.g., by account, goal, country, or risk level) and get a full picture of your net worth, allocation, and progress toward FIRE.
Add everything you own: stocks, crypto, bonds, real estate, businesses, deposits, cash, or anything else. For each asset, record transactions like purchases, sales, deposits, profits, and transfers. FIREkit connects these into a transaction chain, calculates real performance, income, and value, and shows you clear analytics.
π Keep your data up to date by:
Adding new transactions manually
Connecting supported brokers or banks via Plaid
Importing data from a spreadsheet
The more complete your data, the smarter FIREkit gets.
An asset in FIREkit is anything you want to track as part of your portfolio:
Shares or ETFs
Bonds or deposits
Crypto
Real estate
Private business
Cash or bank accounts
Even collectibles or other custom investments
Each asset has its own type, currency, and structure. You can organize them by account, strategy, or country β whatever fits your financial life. The more details you add to the asset, the smarter the analytics.
In FIREkit, a transaction is how the numbers on your assets change over time. You don't edit asset balances directly β instead, you add transactions that reflect what actually happened.
These include:
Record Purchase / Sale
Record Deposit / Withdrawal
Record Profit / Loss
Transfer
Each transaction has a date, type, and amount. Based on the order of transactions (the transaction chain), FIREkit calculates things like average cost, performance, income, and current value.
Example:
You bought 5 shares of AAPL β later sold 2 β received a dividend.
FIREkit uses these transactions to calculate your remaining position, profit, and yield automatically.
Transactions are the foundation of FIREkitβs analytics. The more precise your transaction history, the smarter the insights.
Your base currency is the main currency in which your portfolio is shown and analyzed. FIREkit automatically converts all asset values, prices, and income into your base currency using exchange rates at the time of the transaction or report.
You can change your base currency in Profile β Settings.
