If you are adding a share or cryptocurrency asset for the first time then:
While creating a new asset, add all coins or tickers at the average price to quickly start using the application.
You can also manually add the entire transaction history (replenishments, purchases, sales) to increase the accuracy of asset and portfolio yield calculations.
If you already had share or cryptocurrency assets as a custom assets then:
Delete any recorded gains or losses that you used to record the floating price of the asset (unrealized incomes or losses).
Create a new asset of shares or cryptocurrency, and transfer all funds from the old asset.
Record purchases of tickers or cryptocurrencies at the average price.
Please note that in the future, we will add the ability to import initial data from your broker's reports, increasing the accuracy of your portfolio yield calculations.
For now, we recommend manually tracking your dividends on a monthly basis, since FIREkit does not associate dividends with specific shares. Use tags in comments to group similar transactions for calculations and searches (e.g. #dividends).
